We’ll be aiming to get October OFF TO A FLYER on Thursday, just as we did on the first day of September with a nice TREBLE UP! RODRIGO DIAZ obliged at Kempton at 11/10 and an hour later the John Gosden 2yo UNCLE BRYN scooted in at 5/2. Over at Ripon, ANOTHER easy WINNER as PYTHAGORAS solved the problem and streaked clear for another success for us! Advised when 6/4, heavily backed to 4/5! Please see LATEST NEWS for FULL DETAILS...

31 Aug 20 Ripon Won 4/1
1350 EBF Ripon Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy Stakes (Listed)
2 Bahrain Pride 2 9-3 S & E Crisford James Doyle
“Decent sort of Simon and Ed Crisford's who has been working well since its debut win last week at Windsor. They have the Fahey horse to beat here and the Jane Chapple Hyam horse that won at 100/1 is similarly promising but they're of the opinion this one has so much potential and they're expecting to win this one today. Fahey's is feared as his horses are so well but they won't hear of defeat at Crisford's and expect this one to do the job here. The only drawback is the draw but still well fancied at 9/4 with B 365 (BOG). 1.25pt win.”

5 Valorant R Charlton Jason Watson
“From the Roger Charlton camp and is considered very well handicapped after being allotted a mark of just 71 after the obligatory two starts. This is considered way below what she is capable of and although there may well be one or two others considered well in here, this trip and ground is expected to bring out the best in her. has Ralph Beckett's Envega to beat but is fancied to run a huge race here and expected to land good ew support.”

“From the David Simcock yard and fancied to win in his first handicap. Has the Chris Wall horse to beat, Greek Oasis and on another day if they hadn't come up against one another, that one may well have been a bet for us but on these terms this one of Simcock's expected to do the job for us here. fancied.”

4 Ascension 3 8-13 R Varian Andrea Atzeni
“Was considered a good thing at Sandown earlier in the year but in hindsight, a horse that, at the time was undubtedly running on the wrong ground. This is his type of surface and although he was labelled a tricky customer after a poor ride at Sandown from SDS, he is nothing of the sort and is expected to win here today. Fancied to beat off Epic Endeavour and alnd this for the Varian team. 1pt win 15/8 best withB 365.”

“A good old friend of ours who has shown himself effective on this type of ground and although one has to be wary of the |Stoute trained Rega Reality, there areent really too many others of the class necessary in here to win this. As a result its an easy decision to be with this fella for whom there is a good string message after good wokr at home. Well fancied. 0.75 pt win 16/5 P Power”

“This Charlie Hills trained colt is excellently bred being out of Madany and although she was by Acclamation she did manage to win on soft ground and its expected this fella will be able to handle it here. Some choicely bred colts in attendance but the experience this fella has already got will stand him in good stead. fancied to win this.”

“David Elsworth has had a deplorable season and on balance they have to come back to form at some stage - this one iof his is nicely handicapped and they say he has been working well enough to win it though they have lost their confidence in recent weeks. We believe this is not the strongest event and this one has live chances today.”

2 Gifts Of Gold (IRE) S bin Suroor Stefano Cherchi
“From the Saaed Bin Suroor division of the Godolphin set up and expected to run a huge race here. Significant they put up a claimer on him as on the book he would have been a couple of pound wrong with the like of Protected Guest. That said, that horse comes from a yard that have yet to have a winner this term but we are aware they're expecting a good run from him here, if needing further ultimately. On that basis this fella the one to be with after some good work with a very good horse at home. fancied here.”

“Very interesting 2yo event and plenty of decent sorts in here who will improve for their first outing. This fella gets the nod after a good message and the indication that the horse has improved at home since a good success here a few weeks ago. Fancied to get the better of Mark Johnston's and fancied to win this.”

“This fella has never stopped imrpoving and is still lightly raced. He has the Godolphin horse to beat but is fancied to run apother massive race having won at Royal Ascot where some feel he should have won last year too. Definitely one to keep on your side and is expected to reward EW support with Five places available with plenty of bookmakers.”

21 Aug 20 York Won 5/2F
1445 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes (Group 2)
4 Minzaal (IRE) 2 9-0 Owen Burrows Jim Crowley
“Excellent news in once again from the Lambourn yard of Owen Burrows and this is another owned by Sheikh Hamdan and, from a yard that have done us no harm whatsoever this season with Hukum being the star of their show, a Best bet winner for us on saturday, of course, after winning at Royal ascot at 12/1. This one made his debut at Ascot but didn't get the easiest of passages through when fourth to Mohawk King who re-opposes but the way this fella won at Salisbury marked him down as a useful sort and while he will be best on fast ground, the drying conditions at York today should suit him ideally. It was a close call mind you with big chances for Ubetterbelieveit who has looked distinctly useful on his last two starts and a huge late message for the Andrew Balding trained Mystery Smile whose form is rock solid going back through Zamaan, Perotto etc who have done the job for us in the past. However, this is a Group race not a handicap and this fella looks the part. Expected to win this and well fancied. ”
Won 5/2F

20 Aug 20 York Won 6/1
1545 Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes (Fillies' And Mares' Listed)
11 Gold Wand (IRE) R Varian Andrea Atzeni
“An improving sort from the Roger Varian camp who was a good second to Franconia here last time and that filly takes on Love today. This filly wasn't in love with the ground that day and this will be much more up her street. However, she does have some decent sorts to overcome none moreso than last year's runner up Vivionn and also the Haggas pair but this filly will have her conditons today and, at 4/1, with Skybet and FOUR places, she is strong EW here but expected to win (7/2 elsehwere).”
Won 6/1

19 Aug 20 York Won 10/1
1445 Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (Group 2)
1 Pyledriver W R Muir M Dwyer
“It's taken an age to fathom whether this fella can beat the improving Darain and the likelihood of more rain is the most important factor. For although there is a chance that Darain will go on it, he may just be a little better on decent ground whereas we know that this fella does as he won at Royal Ascot for us at 22/1. He does, however, carry a 3lb penalty for that success but for which he would probably be half the price. Berkshire Rocco is expected to run well too but this fella has the beating of Mogul and is our EW proposition here.”

9 Fresh 3 9-1 J R Fanshawe D Tudhope
“Another of James Fanshawe's that's fancied today. ran a blinder against subsequent easy winner, Starman although his win may have been aided by the soft ground but nevertheless this one is improving and is expected to be able to win this from this mark. Good draw too. Fancied.”

16 Aug 20 Deauville Won 11/10F
Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Jacques le Marois (Group 1)
5 Palace Pier 3 8-13 JHM Gosden F Dettori
“Is, still, believe it or not lacking in experience as he has had only four starts in his life but you would never have known that when he won at Royal Ascot, comiong from behind and doing the job in superb style. If there is a hole in his make up today, it is the possibility that he needs an extra furlong. However, the same can be said for both the main protagonists here, Persian King and Alpine Star have both already run over further, betraying their connections perspective and, theoretically, this could leave the door ajar for a specialist miler like Circus Maximus. However, the truth of the matter is this fella is just a very good horse and, although he may be even better over 9 or ten furlongs, he is still expected to coming home too string for these here today. He wont be a big price but he is worth Frankie foregoing all at York this week and that tells you everything. Well fancied here. 1.5pt win (11/10 best now WHill)”
Won 11/10F

15 Aug 20 Newbury Won 4/1
1500 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Geoffrey Freer Stakes (Group 3)
6 Hukum (IRE) 3 8-9 Owen Burrows Jim Crowley
“Who won at Royal Ascot for us at 12/1 and did the job superbly that day on his seasonal reappearance, wont have been concerned by the recent rain although doesnt want it like a bog, whereas theres a very string chance that both Morando and Max Vega do. Consequently, if there is another deluge then that would favour bothof those runners. However, with conditions as they are now and not that much rain forecast, this 3yo of Owen burrows is expected to be able to fend them both off and repeat his Ascot success for us here. Fancied to do the job again today. 0.75 pt win 7/2 generally (with BOG).”

“An interesting little handicap and plenty of them fancying their chances here though none moreso than the Fairhurst camp who like their fella judged on recent homework. “From the Richard Fahey camp and they have every chance of picking up this nursery with this fella. He was stepped back to 6f for his second start after opening his career over this trip at Newcastle. Now back up and expected to show plenty for doing so. Has Branston Lion and Cider Apple as his main protagonists but is expected to overcome them and is a nice price into the bargain too. EW bets recommended here at 6/1 with B365 and Skybet. ”

“A nice filly from the Gosden camp and there are one or two nicer sorts coming out of there of late. This one has produced some decent work by all accounts and although this is a hugely competitive event with Godolphin, Meade and Varian all having contenders, this is the one that catches the eye and will be a nice EW price into the bargain. Fancied EW here. 0.75pt EW 8/1 Bet365.”

1 Perotto 2 9-7 M P Tregoning M Dwyer
“Was our Early Doors bet last week when a good second at 7/1, at Goodwood. Beaten by a useful looking improver that day, he takes another decent sort on here in Holwah whose form here earlier has been well franked by both Zoetic and Ventura Diamond, both of whom won for us. However, this fella may well just have too much staying power up this hill and the message is good and strong. Fancied to confirm the good impression he gave when winning at Goodwood previously and expected to win this.”

“From the Ger Lyons camp and although this message hasnt come from someone in that yard, it has come from a source whom we respect greatly and they believe this step back in trip wont be an issue and he will be strong at the finish. Fancied to get the better of the ex Fanshawe horse, Pondus and the 3yo of O'Briens and although that wont be easy, we're getting involved.”

“Had been working well prior to her last run here but we had a good strong message about the winner that day, Cozone, and he duly obliged. This filly though was flying at the death and has thrived since, at home. The yard are in good from and although respectful of the Gosden trained runner, they're a little concerned about stamina and this filly has it in abundance. Fancied to win this.”

“Has been a tad unlucky thus far this term and is expected to put that behgind him and win this. Takes on some promising sorts and indeed among them King Ragnar but this fella looks well in here an of putting his homework to use on the track, is fancied to win this. 1pt win 5/4 (BOG) generally.”

5 One Master W J Haggas Tom Marquand
“From the William Haggas camp who could have a blinding day today as they have so many fancied runners but this is a class above this lot. The only blot on the horizon for this mare would have been lighning fast ground but Goodwood have seen fit to pour 6mm of water on the round course and that will help her. She takes on the James Tate trained, Under the Stars and also Godolphin's Althiqa and there's not much between them but neither up to the class of this filly and she is expected to land this Group three here. Well fancied.”

“From a yard that has already supplied two winning bets for us here this week and this one is fancied to do the same here. There is one stumbling block and that is the unraced horse of William Haggas' a half sister to a cracking yo filly called Besharah and that's reported going well also but this one made a nice debut last week and has come on a lot for that. Expected to win this on the step up to six furlongs here and the experience gained last week will be invaluable. Fancied.”

“It has taken an awful lot to get us to oppose Gussy Mac but the vibes from the yard not quite as confident as they were at Sandown and as a result, we prefer the messages on this one of Clive Cox's. He won well at Windsor when beating some decent sorts and although Yazaman will be a danger to all, this fella fancied to serve it up to him and may well have a little too much early pace. Had there been eight we may have chanced Gussy but with only seven runners, this fella gets the nod and is fancied to land EW bets here at 5/1 generally.”

“A race full of speedy sorts and indeed one from the same yard as Spright, Karl Burke's, in Significantly who was a good second to Gussy Mac when he landed the Dragon Stakes for us. He is sure to go well but while this race has had a succession of speedy fillies win it over the years this year it's the turn of the boys and this one, comes with a huge message after a blistering win last week, on debut. They had no qualms about running him so quickly as he showed no ill effects of his race last week and is very well fancied to win this here. Well fancied.”

“MOst interesting event but very striking message about this one of Richard Faheys., He ran in the mile event for 3yos at Ascot, the Brittania handicap and ran a blinder behind Khaloosy. He didnt appear to get home that day and they have trained him for this step back in trip here. He has plenty of speed, travels well and although he didnt quite see out the mile on the stiff track at Ascot will be coming home strongly on this sharper track here. Respect for the Epsom winner, Muntadab who will be suited by the track, at a big price, but this fella fancied to land this for the Fahey team and although only 4/1, now, impossible to ignore the option to back him EW with FIVE places at BF sportsbook and others in such a big field.. 0.5pt EW”

“Yet another trappy handicap and although there are several in here with claims, there are non stronger than this one of Amanda Perrett's who was a good second on the all weather at Kempton, looking likely to win two out before just giving best inside the last. This step back in trip albeit on a stiffer track with a tough climb will suit him perfectly and although respectful of both Decora and Diva Kareem, this fella appeals much more at around 5/1 on an EW basis.”

He did the job well that day and although he takes on his same owner's, Motamassik here and some will say that the winner was best suited by the draw at Ascot, there is little doubt he was superior and, although worse off at the weights here, is expected to confirm the form with that one. Well fancied to land this and the ground not expected to be an issue as it is very drying day here at HQ and expected be somewhere near good ground by 4.10. Healthy respect for the Johnston horse and the Haggas contender who was second at Ascot and will be fancied by some to reverse the form here but this fella was only just getting into his stride at Ascot and the sixth furlong here expected to suit. “From a yard that provided us with a nice first time out winner yesterday and theyre expectign a big run from this handicapper. He has a tricky draw in 11 but while respectful of the better drawn Pastfact, theyre confident of a big run and is a nice ew price to boot (10/1 B365). Fancied EW here.good draw. ”

“Not particularly preciously bred but has ability and although there may be an issue with the stalls, if they have got over that, and they think they have, then she will go close here. Fancied to run a big race if the stalls issue doesn't prevent her from appearing. Quietly fancied.”

“There is a hot favourite in this in Baby Sham and will take all the beating but the vibes for this one of Amy Murphy's indicate she will run a big race here. Well worth backing 'without the favorite' and fancied to go very well here.”

1 Campanelle (IRE) Wesley Ward L Dettori
“Regular subscribers will recall the superb punt we had on Lady Aurelia and whether this filly can emulate that is open to question. However, you will recall she did the job for us here at a nice price and not only did the job but wiped the floor with the field. This is a real speed ball and is reported in the form of her young life. We have a huge respect for the O'Brien horse and the Haggas trained runner and, indeed, if she had been drawn better, would have been a win bet but from stall one, we'll be backing here EW here and at 6/1 and FOUR places with B365 among others, she is a strong EW recommendation here following excellent messages. 3pt EW Professional Bet”

“Impossible to ignore the claims of this filly from the Jess Harington yard in Ireland. They have the beating of most of these on a line through Love and all we've been waiting for is the stable to really start to fire. A nice winner yestrday signfied they're back on form and although we have a huge respect for both Run Wild, stepping back in trip but it should suit and for Quadrilateral, the vibes from the Emerald Isle impossible to ignore and she will do for us here. Well fancied. 0.75pt win.”

“Won well for us first time out this season when romping away with a decent novice at Newcastle. That was easy for him that day, today will be a lot harder and the form of the yard is something of a slight concern. However, he looks the best handicapped horse in the field and there are good vibes form the yard so no reason to desert him here. Fancied.”

“While expecting Fox Tal and Sir Dragonet to be hard to beat in this, our Varian source has indicated this fella couldn't be any better and, on that basis we will not be letting him run loose. The more rain that has fallen the sweeter he has become and therefore he is defintiely worth your EW interest here.”

7 Hukum (IRE) Owen Burrows Jim Crowley
“There were fewer more striking performances as a two year old a at the back end than the one of this fella slicing through his field at Kempton in a back end maiden to catch the Godolphin runner close home but winning with plenty to spare. He has progressed nicely through the Winter and this handosme son of Sea The Stars is expected to go very well here. He has a nice weight and although hugely respectful of a couple nbearer the bottom, Kipps and Arthurian Fable, this fella makes great appeal here and is the EW proposition in the event at 12/1 generally.. FIVE places with most bar B365.”

“There are undoubteldy three or four in here of whom we have only see one run but there is little odubt on repruation, Get it, the Obrien horse and Mighty Gurkha are the horse to be interested in. however, the draw favours this fella here and is expected to improve and reverse the form with Get it and do the job for us and for the in form Balding team. 0.75pt win 4/1 generally”

“Mogul may well win this comfortably but, he is unexposed on soft ground and, out of a Danehill mare wouldnt be our idea of a bet at such short odds. This fella wont be winning the Derby but goes well on this ground and has a squeak here. It may well be that he can get in the money here for small stakes only, is well worth a modest ew interest.”
